The EEC Model – Driving Value, Empowering Associates, Saving Costs

What is the the Effectiveness, Efficiency, Consistency Model?

Efficient, Effective, Consistency Model

by Michael J. Goldrich

The above models attempts to explain the relationship between corporate and properties.  In this instance properties can include group that is managed by a corporate entity.

The ultimate goal of this solution is to show the power of the core which is the company’s knowledge-base.  If the corporate team and the properties are properly updating and referencing a centralized repository; there will be more consistency, tasks will be executed quicker, and there will be reduced need for asking questions about what to do.

Below is an explanation of the model components:

  • Core: Knowledge-base. AKA Intranet.
  • Associates: All Company Employees
  • Vendors/Tools: How we transact our business

Model Composition:

  • Model divided into two hemispheres: Property/Corporate
  • Corporate: two quadrants: Supporting & Leading: Knowledge base, Associates and Vendors/Tools
  • Properties: two quadrants: Assessing and Acting on information from knowledge-base, with Vendors and Tools.
  • Associates Feed the knowledge-base and also pull from the knowledgebase based on interaction with Vendors/Tools.

The crux of the next part of the model are the arrows between the rings and how they are defined.

Generally, I will define the arrows based on quadrant placement between:

  • Corporate/Support| Vendor and how that relates to associates.
  • Corporate/Support| Associates and how that relates to Knowledge-base
  • Corporate/Lead| Vendor and how that relates to associates.
  • Corporate/Lead| Associates and how that relates to Knowledge-base
  • Property/Assess| Vendor and how that relates to associates.
  • Property/Assess | Associates and how that relates to Knowledge-base
  • Property/Action| Vendor and how that relates to associates.
